Photos: Double Dagger at Open Space
The Ed Schrader Show got back in action last Thursday in grand fashion at Open Space. The talk show portion set up in the gallery, and ended up selling out with some folks forced to watch the antics from the windows outside. In addition to abnormally large cat visual freak outs, Blow-Bot, a hauntingly funny impression of a Bolt Bus driver, and a full supporting band that included Dan Deacon - Ed Schrader provided us with Double Dagger.
The show closed with an interview by the Ed-proclaimed "U2 of Baltimore", followed by a performance in the space next door. Double Dagger's new EP Masks is now available, and I just got my vinyl copy in the mail as part of the first shipment of this year's Thrill Jockey 12 inch subscription series. The packaging is as great as it sounded, and I'll have some words on the songs in the coming weeks.
Peep the rest of Valerie's photo set from the evening after the jump.
