Completely Unrelated: Where The Wild Things Are

This has nothing to do with Baltimore really, but I know we all adored this book growing up. The movie looks fantastic based on the trailer, but we have to wait until Fall to screen it. And need not worry, this post does indeed have some music related content...

The Arcade Fire tune "Wake Up" is featured in the trailer, and truly makes a great accompaniment. I'm sure I'm not the only person really looking forward to this one.

You're really looking at a "perfect storm" of directors here. Spike Jonze who directed two of my faves "Adaptation" and "Being John Malkavich" I have no doubt he will surely "bring it."

As for Dave Eggers an amazing writer, performer has shown up on the radar with the likes of David Byrne and Sufjan Stevens. Eggers and Jonze actually did a voice over in the Beck song The Horrible Fanfare / Landslide / Exoskeleton so you know they both have good taste.

I love the juxtaposition of the Arcade Fire song paired with the dark-like themes in the trailer. This movie is either going to scare the living shit out of children all over or have the impact it did on Brett and myself! I'm sad I have to wait til October to see it!

Should Bmore Music have a movie column?

Should "Said and Done" be our writer?

Yep, looks like it.
